Are you looking to retrain your mind and body to respond more effectively to stress, and experience less physical and mental suffering?This two-hour workshop will give you exactly that, and include a yin yoga practice targeting the whole body and a vipassana meditation practice, which is an “open awareness” or “insight” style of meditation. The yoga postures will often be supported by props and will be held for 3 to 10 minutes.
This workshop will encompass the main principles of Yin yoga, a variety of breathing techniques, and various mindfulness techniques to de-stress and bring a sense of peace and well-being to your entire self. We will discuss the benefits of developing a home practice in either yoga or meditation and some of the misconceptions of mindfulness practices.
