Yoga HIIT Fusion Workshop 

Calling all aging yogis! (Yes; even you 20-somethings, I’m talking to you. You are also aging. Wink, wink.)Are you worried about strength, balance, or combating anxiety or depression as you get older? Do you notice your muscles just aren’t what they used to be? Women, are your hormones going crazy? Did you know that exercise is the number one element that predicts you will live longer and healthier? I’m a 45-year-old gal who has been exploring yoga and other fitness methods for most of my adult life. I can tell you from experience that once you enter your 40s, your body begins to change and it requires a different way of moving (along with other things) to keep it going for optimal health. 
Join me for this workshop to experience a practice that can transform your body and mind, even as you age. You are NOT too old to get stronger, fitter, and achieve REAL health changes. Here’s a breakdown of the workshop: first, we will warm up and enter into a yoga practice fused with HIIT yoga movements. (HIIT stands for high intensity, referring to movements practiced at a high level of effort but only sustained for short periods of time – think 45 seconds.) Yoga movements are the perfect blend with HIIT because they are low impact and easily modified for any level of ability. HIIT workouts have been shown to increase metabolism, improve strength, and raise your energy level, all in a short amount of time. After our HIIT Yoga session, we will cool down with some restful yin yoga, breathing techniques, and finish with a short meditation to connect, re-focus and center the mind. This workshop is for ALL levels of fitness and abilities. Even if you’ve never done yoga or HIIT workouts, you will learn how to start. We will modify and work from where we are today. YOU can do this!
