Yoga Nidra is defined in yoga, as deep sleep with awareness. It is said that one Yoga Nidra session equals eight hours of sleep, leaving one fully rejuvenated! This class requires absolutely no yoga or meditation experience.We will assist you in formulating a comfortable, reclining position, allowing you to enter a state of complete peace and rest. The instructor will lead you through guided relaxation and mediation.A segment of this workshop will introduce the student to the yoga Koshas (layers of awareness), various body postures that assist the relaxation process, and ideas for a home practice.

We will break down asana, offering various expressions. We will learn what tools to use and how to utilize them. We will understand our own bodies, personal limitations and attributes more clearly. Knowledge acquired during this workshop, will provide students with confidence in any yoga setting. For seasoned or new yoga teachers, this learning experience is a must. Join Jim and Melissa for First Friday Meditation at Fairy Moon Yoga. On the first Friday of every month at 7:00 PM come relax and restore before your weekend. The sounds and resonance of singing bowls will be soothing yet powerful for the mind, body, and soul.
The benefits of sound are vast. Each participant will have a personal experience unique to them. We will be setting an intention at the beginning of the meditation and letting the energy unfold.
Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lay down during this meditation so you are able to completely relax. Maximum of ten people so we can follow social distancing guidelines.
